The AV Connection is being held this year on the 20th and 21st of July, 2002 at Union House, Adelaide University. The convention is dedicated to Anime (Japanese Animation), and Video Games. The convention is being organised jointly by the Adelaide Japanese Animation Society (AJAS) and the Adelaide University Video Gamers Association. The convention is the first of its kind in Australia, with an equal focus on both areas. We know that there is a large group of people out there who share the same love of video games and anime that we have, that is why we have decided to run this event. By running the event we hope to increase the interest in these two growing forms of entertainment, as well as strengthening the bond of cultural understanding between Australia and Japan. The event will also provide an introduction into the Video Game and Animation industry, for those interested in a career in either or both areas. AV Connection is a drug and alcohol free event, suitable for all ages. We will be running a variety of activities over the weekend, including:
